Ministry of James Dhale

Royal Ambassadors Academy is the education wing of the Grace Covenant Baptist Church .  It sponsors orphans and full-time church workers’ children. They are our prospective employees who will take over the ministry in the future. RAA is also an education center for Missionary Training, Bible Camps and various Church related seminars.

Grace Himalayan Mission is a multi-purpose mission project. It covers pioneering missions the doctrine of salvation through grace, church autonomy, and women’s ordination for the ministry.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    

Pioneer Missions & Church Planting is mission work spearheaded by Grace Covenant Baptist Church at Makhan. There are now thirteen new churches and house fellowships in North East India, Myanmar ( Burma ) and Nepal . Through the generous contributions of our supporters in the United States , we purchased two plots of land and constructed permanent and temporary worship places.

Healthcare is one of our first priorities.  It is a critical need to all of our students, churches and neighboring villages. As a socialist democratic republic our government provides free medical facilities. The poor patients face briberies and long delays for treatment.

James’ Testimony

 

I was born and raised in a first generation Christian family. My father was a very strict Baptist pastor. Under his authority, I performed many outward religious obligations. I attended Sunday School and even preached on occasion but my inner self was contrary to the Gospel. My works were designed to please my father and the Church.

I praise God that I did not remain in such a state of spiritual darkness, but the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sinful heart and opened my eyes to my helpless, wretched and shameful state. I realized that neither I, nor my father, nor my good works could save me. God alone must save! I publicly confessed my sins and received the ordinance of baptism on December 29, 1969 . I was 17 years old.

Since then, by God’s grace, I endeavor to remain a faithful servant of God with a vision to fully and personally participate in fulfilling the Great Commission of the risen Lord as it is commanded in Matthew 28:18-20:  “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

            By the providence of God, I received a full scholarship to the Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson , MS . In 1983, I returned to my native India . I worked as missionary-at-large for the Manipur Baptist Convention from 1984-90. I served as senior pastor for the church at the headquarters of the Manipur Baptist Convention. This was considered to be the most important and influential Baptist Church in Manipur. In 1995, I resigned from my position because of the Convention’s move towards liberalism with regard to the doctrine of salvation through grace, church autonomy, and women’s ordination for the ministry.

            In 1996, I began preparations for a new ministry, and in 1998, we established an independent Baptist church in Imphal City.  At that time, our state was reeling under ethnic clashese between two major tribes.  I had a burden to start a church where both tribes would be welcomed and loved.  Our prayers were answered.  The "Grace Covenant Baptist Church" was established and the Christian school "The Royal Ambassador's Academy" was organized.
